The Chamber seeks to represent the whole spectrum of the area's business community within its membership - indeed this diversity is one of the strengths of the Kettering Chamber of Trade & Commerce.

The Chamber is a focus for local businesses in their mutual dealings. It provides a common platform for the discussion of issues which affect the business community, enabling commerce to have a unified voice in dealings with government and other statutory bodies.

The Chamber has representatives on other influential bodies, including Kettering Town Forum, Kettering Area Forum, Kettering Economic Development Committee and the promotional body Kettering Means Business. Close links are also maintained with other enabling organisations such as Kettering Business Venture Trust.
